10/8/2013 - Day 4

  • Today started out with fellow traveler, Mike, fixing my toilet.  That isn't a job most people would volunteer to take on, so I am very grateful to Mike.  Rex was there for morale support at the end.
Since the Grand Canyon is still closed, we decided to go to Sedona for the day, stopping around Oak Creek Village first for some amazing sites.
Sedona is a really unique little town.  It is surrounded by the most beautiful  scenery you can imagine.  Don't think you would every get tired of looking at it.
There were also some pretty little purple flowers and, of course, cactus.

    w
We stopped at a state park and while we were waiting for Rex to come back from checking out where all the tourists were swimming (in the river) Sue and Gio took the opportunity to rest their tired feet.
Tomorrow we head to Gallup, New Mexico on our way to the balloon festival in Albuquerque.  I've heard forecast for winds, but am hoping by the time we get there it will be calm weather.  Balloons don't go up if it is windy.
